Highlights of IYA Events in 2009

• December 31, 2008: US Bank Eve IYA kick off event

• April 3-6: 100 Hours of Astronomy including Science Expeditions and a Sun Day with Sundaes

• April 24: Day trip to Yerkes Observatory

• April through October: Planet Trek Dane County A scale model of the solar system for bikers/walkers

• June 20: Planet Trek Dane County Guided tours and exhibits at Monona Terrace

• June through August: Galileoscope Workshops Telescopes building workshops at state parks throughout Wisconsin

• July 19-21: Galileo Under Wisconsin Skies A three day series of activities and programs on astronomy

• August 23: Pine Bluff Open House Tours and telescope workshops at Pine Bluff Observatory

• August through present: Galileoscope Workshops Telescope building workshops at Space Place

• December through present: From Earth to the Universe An exhibit of 40 astronomical photos on display at Space Place

• Throughout 2009: Telescope Amnesty Clinics Reviving unused telescopes
